New Course Locations

Why are there no courses in Overland Park area, I know there is pairie center in olathe but there isnt much variety.

Here's a link to the thread on the kCFDC site about the course going in at Shawnee Mission Park. That's pretty close to OP. But as for a course in OP proper, isn't the land a little too valuable to be putting in a disc golf course? Maybe a walking path here and there but that's about it.

where is the shawnee park located at

Its a great big park straddling Shawnee and Lenexa. The course is going in on the east side of the park near 79th and Renner Rd. Lenexa is supposedly building another course not far away from SMP at Lake Lenexa near 83rd and Monticello Rd. I would not expect either of these to be fully operational until next year sometime.

I've also heard rumors that a third course may go in Heritage Park, which straddles Olathe and OP near 159th and Blackbob. Don't know much else about that. You may want to ask on the KCFDC boards.
