WIC vs OKC

Post by Notorious ROG »

Mike I understand your frustration
Friz Rocker I understand yours.

I am down here in OKC and let me tell I MISS WIC

Courses are OK, but leagues or communication on events is nonexistent........ they have cash pick up leagues which are "EASY" money $$$$$$$ but don't look for leadership or improvements.....

Missing the ACDGC despite it's dysfunctionality

The Glass Blown ratings went down. My final round was originally 1000+, but now it's 966. I think all the round ratings went down for that tournament, except the 2nd round, which actually went up.

Hmmm I think my rating went down in direct proportion to the number of discs I threw in the water during tin cup moments on the rounds used....One point per disc or pretty close to it....

Something doesn't look right to me. Know my third round sucked, but I don't think the last round was that bad. I wonder why they changed so much.

Iqbal took a 44 point hit. I don't know what my ratings were before, but I am sure we all took a big hit.

I think when the official ratings are calculated, they become grouped by course config, instead of round. Though they still say round for some reason. I know my second round was rated higher than my first, but the official results show very much the opposite. Which means it makes sense that they switched all the rounds up to match everyone with the course config played. A, B, C, D. The tournament page still lists your scores in the correct order of rounds, but the round ratings match A, B, C, D which are course configs. Figure out what the order was and you figure out how the rounds got switched up. Correct?

After looking through it, I'm not so sure. SSA's were 50, 50, 55, 55. That doesn't really make sense. West certainly played easier than east the first day. And both courses played tougher the 2nd day.

I'm thanking my rating still starts with an 8. :x

Something in the GBO ratings isn't right. How can the ratings numbers for the Pro and Advanced divisions be the same for the same round when those divisions were on opposite courses. Lest I remember, one course was all Am Men except the Masters, and the other course was everybody else.

I dropped a line to Chuck Kennedy on the PDGA discussion board. He should be able to let us know what is going on and fix/explain it.

You may want to check out the player rating for the GBO. They went up, way up! Nate and Nikko shot 1071 rated rounds.

Just goes to show you the inflation factor when you have some of the top players in the world at a tourney.
