1880 DOUBLES CHAMPIONSHIPS @ HARVEY COUNTY CAMP HAWK OCT 20th

WHAT:
A BYOPartner multiple format disc golf experience. 1880 DUBS is a handicapped event based on each player's performance in this year's KDGA OZ TOUR. If you have played a KDGA event this year you have a K-Rating*. You can find your K-Rating HERE

2 Divisions will be offered. One capped at 1880 and one capped at 1700. A team's combined K-Ratings may not exceed the cap for their division.

WHEN:
9:30 Players Meeting

HOW:
2 Rounds of 20 Holes including a variety of doubles formats like, Best Shot, Tough Shot, Switch Doubles, Switch Bonus, and Alternating Shot

COST:
$60 per TEAM ($3 per player Ace Fund included)

PAYOUT:
CASH MONEY and a tourney stamped disc.

FINE PRINT:
*If you are PDGA current and have only played PDGA events, use your PDGA Player Rating.
Player's K-Ratings will be locked after Shunga Nunga (Sept 22-23). Player's with 6 or fewer rated rounds may ask for leniency.
GBO rounds are not included in the K-Ratings but could be used if a player wishes to challenge his/her K-rating.

This new thread is because the other thread had the wrong date in the subject line of every post. Again I am very sorry for the inconvenience with rescheduling. Sundays are not an option and Oct 13th is the FRIZZZ and a DD event in Pawhuska. Hoping for good weather and a better turnout!

Team "Mostly Millennium"

"Rooster" Dennis Vahsholtz 960 "w/o the eye patch and the enlarged liver"
with deputy Ned Vahsholtz 908 hope to create a positive outcome on this historic occasion.

If we are in need of reinforcements we just might have to call upon our posse "Team Avahshmaass" which kind of sounds like a character out of the Hindu epic "Ramayana" to help us round up any other uncooperative teams that might try to escape into the wilderness of Camp Hawk.

Famous Quotes from True Grit

"It's payday, boys, come and get it!"

"You can't lock up a man's whiskey!"

"Watch yourself, sister! Everything in these woods'll either bite ya, stab ya or stick ya! "
and the classic----

"Damn your murderin' hides! Meet your maker! "

The above mentioned teams are set for the 29th but if the date changes we will have to see what pans out. Sept. 30th might work and 3 out of the 4 members might be OK with October 20th. We would have to have a Pow Wow.
Dennis, I tried to bribe people last year to get you to 1880 DUBS. I'm pumped to see this level of excitement for this year's! I got your message and I really hope everyone is able to come. I would've preferred warmer weather too. It is not an ideal situation but I just couldn't imagine a KDGA event without at least a few of the guys that are heading to Joplin.

While I know you are disappointed, I'm sure you see that in many ways this is a good problem to have. Did you ever think we'd have 4 disc golf events in the midwest scheduled on the same day? Or that frolfers would be passing up several tourneys closer to home because somebody was throwing $4,000 of added cash into the payout??? Pretty cool. And you know it is folks like you that we have to blame for all that--all those years of steady growth. It means a lot to me that you would choose 1880.

Brian Thompson could play with the following:

JD Wyatt
Bo Carrasco
Iqbal

Any of these three players should be contacting BT.

Other great matches for this event:

Ben Wiggins / Mike Unruh
Darren Bottom / Cliff Zollman
Bill Paulson/ Danny Knox
Austin Streit / Mike Speer

Cmon folks get those teams coming.
