I was ok with the landing on the island rule, but sometime it can be tough to see behind those pines.

I think one of the biggest course improvements would be to make across the road OB on hole 12. As it is, the best shot for most players is to gun a low shot straight at it. Playing safe is difficult and will usually result in a higher score. But with across the road safe, which is likely as downhill as this is, it is an easy 3 if you go long. It also creates interference issues with 17 calling it safe. If you made across the road OB, this could be the best hole at the Rock. Playing it safe would bring all kinds of shot possiblities into play.

There are some other holes where is would make sense to call across the road OB as well. Namely 7 & 8.

2 holes after the island shot, road and across need to be OB for sure. I watched many people throw to the island and then toward the pin.

As the book stated last year

If you hit the grass
on the island and go O.B. take your drop from where you went out. If you did not hit the
grass on the island, take your drop from the drop zone. Hitting the trees or light pole is
not considered hitting the island, take your drop from the drop zone.

16. Will be alittle shorter and the advantage won't be to going left but I still might add that ob cuz you just don't know where the basket might end up

Everything is shaping up nice for the weekend. Prereg is a little slow due to me getting everything up late so there is plenty of room. The course will be set up and ready to play by 4 pm Friday. From the forecasts that I am looking at if it rains it should be after we are done playing.

Hope to see everyone this weekend.

I always felt that road and across should be OB for the entire course. Why does a shot that skips 2 foot into the road get penalized when a shot that is over thrown by 50 foot is not?

Played the course tonight (without baskets). Everything is looking great. We have been getting a good amount of rain here, but the course seems to be fine. I did not have any trouble getting up or down any of the hills or paths.
