KDGA Food Drive Raffle during the awards or at lunch.

Current plan for Food Drive Raffle:

The first name drawn will get the basket. You don't have to be present to win. This way everyone who played will have a chance to win the basket. The next nine names drawn will get first pick of the remaining prizes. If you are not present at the drawing, you will get something from the remaining prizes.

I hope this will work for everyone. Now I need to rig up the box so I am sure to draw my name first. :D

Smitty, Thanks for posting all the tournament information! The extended forecast is calling for sunny skies and highs in the mid 50's so this should be a great weekend for disc golf! Get signed up today. I will not be holding any spots or taking verbal commitments to this event so sign up in advance and save a couple bucks. I can also take credit card information over the phone.

Looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend!

Is it Saturday yet?

I have a bad case of the "Mondays", and am starting my countdown now.

T-minus 5 days until 2-minutes!

Got quite a few registrations in today. Get signed up early to save you a couple bucks and ensure for an on time start Saturday morning. Early registration is $2.50 cheaper online or $5 cheaper if you send in a check or money in the mail. I see the discount as a major benefit to signing up in advance.

I have already told more than a dozen people the same story......I AM NOT HOLDING SPOTS FOR VERBAL REGISTRATION! It just creates confusion in the morning if I am not at the registration table and I want to avoid any confusion or complications.

Feel free to call to sign up over the phone with a credit card.

Right now we are planning on changing our Peter Pan league night to this Friday and doing random draw doubles for anyone who wants to come to Emporia to play the course. More details will be posted as I have them available.

It will be nice if it really gets into the 50's, but I don't know what the wind is supposed to be like.

When we looked at the extended forecast this morning it was like 48ish with 8 mph wind. It ain't Lewisville weather, but it's still pretty nice for March in KS!!

50 signed up already! 20+ have called me and asked me to reserve a spot which I am not doing for this event. I am estimating that 10 to 15 locals have not signed up yet and have heard quite a few players who are planning on coming from out of town. It is cheaper to sign up in advance and will ensure your spot! Even though I think we will be right around 100 players for this event I would hate to turn players away on Saturday who have traveled from out of town. Do yourself a favor! Get signed up in advance, save a couple bucks, and ensure yourself a spot for the Monkey Island Open!

The Discraft discs came in today and Innova is arriving tomorrow so there will be plenty of plastic to choose from! I can promise every player that there won't be any shortage of plastic or merchandise at this event and we will have pick your own payout at the conclusion of the awards ceremony for the Am's.

The 19th hole will also have lunch available and I really want to encourage everyone to stick around for lunch so that we can all hang out, talk about our problems from the first roun, and get geared up for the final round! I think everyone who ate at the food drive will vouch for how good the food is at the 19th hole! For $5 you will receive an awesome sandwich, bowl of chicken noodle soup, bag of chip, cookie, and drink! If you don't get full, I'm sure they will provide a refill of soup but I don't think anyone will be disappointed.

We will be doing doubles tomorrow evening with a 5 pm start and setting up the amphitheater hole so that everyone can get some practice on it and maybe even the Monkey Island hole. We will up the ante to $3 per player tomorrow so bring a few extra quarters to cover your entry! We are expecting a few new faces from out of town and out of state.
