That guy has been playing some solid golf from the results I've seen

And yes Mr.Senor, I think Jake is due to bust out and tatoo some D's all over the top pros......
Throw some D's on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On a side note, I think Manabu Kajiyama will do quite well and I see Blazek placing in the Top 20.

Good Luck To Eric, Pat, Jake, Rusco and all the DD CREW
I'm not liking my Kallstrom pick I'd like to swap him back out for EMac- I never looked at his stats this year. I
I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.

That would be a smart move. Then you and I could tie for 1st.

Pick the Advanced winner for the tie breaker.
I will go Big Jerm by 3 strokes over Mr. DD

Here is the schedule.

Man it was some work setting this sucker up!
http://www.pdga.com/documents/2008/08PA ... eFinal.pdf

Open:

Course 1 has a 453 footer for the longest hole. Could someone shoot a -15?
http://www.pdga.com/documents/2008/08PA ... dBrook.pdf

Course 2 is much longer with tons of elevation (Ski Hill) Look for Mikey to shred this one, he was once known as the best mountain golfer in the world.
http://www.pdga.com/documents/2008/08PA ... rRidge.pdf

Course 3 another shorty minus a 600 footer and 900 footer.
http://www.pdga.com/documents/2008/08PA ... ryPark.pdf

Round 4 is the same as 3 for the A Pool.

Round 5 is back at the pitch and putt round 1 course.

No Golf on Friday for the A pool.

Finals are on another very short course with the longest hole being 411?

Mike is right, this could be the shortest worlds in history. I am sure the fairways are mostly tight and wooded.

Looks like the person who can control their mids and make some putts is going to do very well.

GO E-MAC!!!!!!

Not a good enough putter and his game is all about dropping bombs. The short courses are going to be tough for him.

Looks like 12 players so far.

Smitty & Ruders picks are identicle.
Doc & SNG's picks are identicle.

Everyone's picks are the same less one pick with at least 1 other player, except Bangrrr Bob's.

14 picked players
McCabe: All 12 players picked him
Feldberg: 11 picks
Doss: 9 picks
Rico: 7 picks
Schultz: 5 picks
Climo: 4 picks
Jenkins: 3 picks
Leiviska: 2 picks
Anton, Randolf, Ulibarri, Newell, Kaalstrom, & Brinster: 1 pick

I've got the top 5!

5 people have McCable, Feldberg, Doss, & Rico.

Who will win the other divisions?

Mela in Masters, Miniac in GM, Des...

How about Bagger divisions? Tate Handy is sporting a 971 and he is from Kalamazoo.

Almost doesn't seem right for a world championship tournament. Got a zillion holes that you can't even throw a drive on and one course that is nothing but 600+ foot holes. There should be more challenging 360-420 foot holes that can give birdie or bogey. I bet these courses are pretty darn good, but I don't know if they are really challenging enough for the PRO worlds.

Guess we will know from the scores. Like at a major golf tourney, even par golf will win it, right? :P Winning score could be 60 under for 6 rounds, if higher pars are used for the longer holes and at that long course.

Pick advanced for tiebreakers? I'd rather pick other Open Divisions, like women's!

Miss Jenkins might do it again!

I would like to see Nordgren do well. Rusco will probably place pretty high up for sure.

Well, I got totally bored with all the crappy weather today decided to make a head to head NCAA like playoff bracket seeding the top 64 rated open division players (if ratings were the same, PDGA points were used as a tiebreaker). Here's how it turned out:

Image

First round tournament scores will be used to determine first round matchup scores. The player with the higher score is eliminated, regardless of future performance. In the event of a tie, tiebreakers are:

1. Cumulative score up to that point
2. Lowest round score shot up to that point
3. Tourney seed (gotta break the tie somehow)

A great shot is when you try it, a good shot is when you don't have the guts to pull it off.
