I heard the registration is at 100 players. Likely to break the attendance record. If you haven't registered, you should show up as early as possible tomorrow, definitely before 9am.

Re: Wichita DooDah June 4-5 PDGA B-Tier
Man is any one as wiped out as I am? That sun was hot but what a great weekend eh? Dynamic Disc did an awsome job. one of the best run Doo Dahs and even one of the best run tourneys I have ever been to. Thanks J. Rusco and his team of volenteers. Smitty your the perfect ring leader for the entertainment. Great job on ring of fire and raffle. Great job every one who bought tickets and or donated prizes. All the winners did one heck of a job lowering thier scores on to HOT and one really windy day . Awsome. I dont know if it was compleatly sold out show or if any one got turned away but i was a big turn out.
I battled all weekend with a bunch of great guys in the intemideate division. Even i was the only old man out there in our group It was funny watching us all huddle under what shade we could find. We had some groans of discust and even a couple colorful expressions in self disapointment . but most of all we had some good laughs.
Want to note also i found a Kantana in the river at herman hill with no name . If its your PM me with a discription of it and we can figure out how to get it back to ya..
Thanks again DD great job.

Re: Wichita DooDah June 4-5 PDGA B-Tier
Thanks to everyone who braved the scorching heat and participated in the Doo Dah this weekend.
-First, I'd like to thank the Dynamic Disc staff. They did a really professional job and many gave up playing in the tournament. Jeremy Rusco, Clay Houser, Adam Searle, Chris Tyler, Jeremy Kindy, Chris Smith. You guys deserve a pat on the back for everything you do to give the players a great tournament experience. I hope we can continue to team up for many years into the future.
-To Smitty, Mike Speer, and anyone else that helped with getting water on the course: thank you! Looks like we reached 99 degrees both days. Without the water, we could have had some people getting sick. Very important job well done.
-Thanks to all who helped on the courses. I know I got a lot of the credit, and your appreciation really drives me to keep this going, but your volunteers on the course are who really made this happen. Buddy Kassner & Bo Carrasco spent a lot of hours installing benches at Herman and slinging chips at Oak. Others who helped with benches include Jeff & Jacob Laha, Tom Diener, Jerry Sherwood, Don Zimmerman, Jeff Ring, and Ron Unruh. Stan Stiverson and his company, B&B Builders, donated the use of a skin loader for the chip work at Oak, which was done in just a matter of hours instead of all week, as it would have. Mike Speer took care of the OB string this year, which is never a fun job. Had some more help from Bo and Ron on the circles. Thanks to the ACDGC board for approving the money spent on courses. And a big thanks to the Wichita Parks Department for the help with the mowing and to Libby Albers for the use of the WATER Center!
-Everyone deserves a big thanks for helping with the Joplin Tornado Relief raffle. Dynamic Discs put in well over $300 worth of stuff into the raffle. Many players donated valuable items probably worth over $1000 in total, including 2 USGDC Rocs and an Ed Hedrick signed mini (donated by Buddy Kassner). The KDGA donated over $300 in cash. And I believe over $700 in raffle tickets were sold. Thanks to Ron Unruh for helping to organize this. The raffle was fun. Most importantly, it felt good to know that the weekend wasn't just about the fun and that people are going to benefit from our efforts. Good times, good people, good memories, thanks to all.

Re: Wichita DooDah June 4-5 PDGA B-Tier
And a big congrats to our year winner: Kevin Tulp. His 203 was the lowest score at the Doo Dah since Kevin Babbit's 202 in 2006. With the heat and wind, it could not have been easy, and from the looks of it, the final round was a close race with the Swede and Coda only 1 or 2 strokes back. Also quite incredible that a lefty so deftly mastered the course at Oak the first time playing it!
I also have to mention that Brandon Nelson's 45 at Oak from the red tees is a course record. As it turns out, the record stands not just for the red tees, but on the course as a whole, as I have received no better scores from the short tees played at league. Crispin Carrasco holds that record at 46, from last years membership drive tournament.
Anyone make it through the tournament without any OB strokes? Would be cool to make a list of the players who go OB free at some of the KDGA's most challenging event. Think of how many players make it OB free at the GBO, the Rock, Beloit KS Champs, Doo Dah, the Frontier? I'd bet less than a handful at each of these tournaments.

By the way, the only things I have in the way of lost and found are a white Pro Firebird, a blue Champion Groove, and a plain white towell. I believe Shane and Fred were searching the river at HH after the event. Check with Disc Golf Mania in a few days to see if any lost discs turn up there.

Not sure what is going on but noticed that Howard Dine is linked to Garron Cabe's profile on the PDGA website when you are viewing the results....

Searle knows what is going on there. He plans on doing something before he submits the final results to the PDGA. Something about another Howard Dine or something?Pironix wrote:Not sure what is going on but noticed that Howard Dine is linked to Garron Cabe's profile on the PDGA website when you are viewing the results....

Yeah, usually that's just when you have the wrong PDGA number plugged in for that person.

That dude didn't actually have a number. I think he shared a name or something.mrsenortyler wrote:Yeah, usually that's just when you have the wrong PDGA number plugged in for that person.

Mike, that's awesome you feel like you get a lot of credit. You deserve it. Thanks for listing the folks that helped, they get an e-round of applause.Schoen-hopper wrote:-Thanks to all who helped on the courses. Well I had me some fun this year at the DooDah. After tanking two years ago and missing last year all together, it was sweet to get a little revenge. Only got to play with one of my Wichita homies this go-round but I need send a shout out. I played like I know I can this weekend. It was because of Wichita league and the comradery and competition with especially Kingpin, Buh, Slim Biggins, and Runruh that I was able to unlock that potential. Wichitans, go to league. Support your league. It will make you a better player.
Thanks too to all the folks that told me, "I'm pulling for you." Got a mini ovation at the two minute warning Sunday aft that really pumped me up.
Tulp, way to bring it two tournys in a row. I look forward to our next battle. That was my first experience with a neck and neck final round. I think the adrenaline could get addictive!
Throw Millennium.

I recall a previous tourney where Sandman shot an -8 at Oak. Swede, Great Shootin! This is a back to back win for Kevin, and I'm hoping for a good showing from him with the big dogs at KC. How much was raised when it was finally counted? What a great event! Thanks to all who made this possible.
