Colwich 28 March - postponed
Re: Colwich 28 March - postponed
Any idea how the KDGA is going to give points for this tournament?
Laying up.......That's for chickens!
Re: Colwich 28 March - postponed
When Randy gets the scores posted, we will look at it and figure it out.
We played 1 entire round. We could base point off of that.
We also played several sets of common holes by division. That could figure in also if somebody made a big move.

I was DFL after the first round and came back to tie for 3rd in the eight holes that counted in the second round. I think the second round should definetly count towards points.
PS - How did I lose two points after Emporia when I didn't even go?

Phil: There was a member that you beat in Herington that never paid his dues like he promised Mace. So when he was taken out, the points were changed for that event.
The only fair way to score the points for Colwich will be to use the first round only. Of course I'm open to suggestions, but I really don't see any other way to do it fairly.

I think you could compare scores after the first rounds.
Look and see if any of the Advanced players were ahead of open, novice etc.
Then you could look and see who moved up or down. Chances are that the Open players would have beat all the Advanced. We really will not be able to do anything until Randy gets us the scores.
Open:
Round 1
Smitty 56
Cristler 57
Bo 59
Randy 60
B Nelson 60
Phil 62?
That is all I remember.
Maybe some people from other divisions can help us out?

Re: Colwich 28 March - postponed
I know I gave up several strokes after round 2 started. I carded some 5's and 6's and only two pars in the first 12 holes. I am pretty sure that Pee Wee and Carpet should have come back to beat me. ( Plus other non members)
It would be hard to do points since not everyone across all divisions played the same common holes, but it is also unlikely that an Int. player was going to come back and beat the pro's.

Re: Colwich 28 March - postponed
I'm pretty sure the winner of intermediate would have won advanced as well.

Re: Colwich 28 March - postponed
How many were in advanced?
There were 10 Int? Were there any KDGA members in Advanced?

Re: Colwich 28 March - postponed
Ok, I realize that I couldn't make this event, so this is an "outsiders" perspective.....Since this would definitely qualify as "bizarre, odd or out of the ordinary", why don't you just give everyone 10 points. I know it's not fair to the players that would have gotten more, nor is it fair to those who would have earned less, but at least everyone gets something that way. There are also those who would argue that they would have gone if they knew it was worth 10 points. Well they should have gone.....Or, you could just reschedule for say October????
Throw some D's on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Colwich 28 March - postponed
When we get the results, we will figure out what to do. I don't think we are looking at to many KDGA members, so it should be easy to figure out.
