killer weekend!!! it was awesome to play with and hang out with everyone that came to the Doo Dah. The courses were in great shape thanks to a short list of club members and the tournament went smooth. Big Bobby D, Bill Paulson, Robin and Mike held it down and kept things in line. Even though he didnt get to play, Garrison rolled through to win a basket in the putting challenge(classic). Watching my brother play well and having my dad and buddy JTAP caddy were just a couple of the many highlights throughout the weekend! At the awards I was so stoked about getting the W that I forgot to thank my girlfriend Keesha for letting me play and practice all the time. If you ever get a chance to see her, say what's up, she's the coolest and I'm the luckiest guy to have someone like her in my life. hope everyone got home safe and really hope to see everyone at the KCWO.

That guy can still putt?crispinthomascarrasco wrote:Garrison rolled through to win a basket in the putting challenge(classic).
Boy its just like him to show up, steal everyones money, and leave.
I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.
The tourney was better then it had been in the past. It was also one of the most WACK-O events I have ever played in.
Thanks for using the electronic TD report. It is great to get on the computer when you get home and see how your division played out for the day. Anyone who is a TD can use teh TD report, there is a free version on the PDGA site.
The CTPs had a great twist. That was a great way to get rid of the prizes.
WACK-O events
An entire division played the course out of order. Granted there were only 3 of them but still. This was a PDGA event, so they had to be stroked.
A group left the course with their cards, had to be called to turn in their. Could have been given stroke, but got their cards to the tourney HQ just in a nick of time.
The eventual winner of the tourney played from the wrong pad and had to be given a stroke.
A scorecard was added up wrong and I was worried that it was just going to get "fixed". The correct decision was once again made.
Now for the Crazy stuff:
Iqbal had tied Randy on the last hole take has to take a lost disc penalty (maybe I should get some of those Sticky-Icky camo discs), makes a bad drive and basically gives Randy the win.
Now the most Crazy of the Crazy:
Coda makes a 30 foot circle 3 putt to "tie" Jake for the win. The guys are trying to figure things out and are worried about a playoff (that didn't or wouln't have been needed, there was no trophy). Long story short Coda didn't total his card, gets 2 penalty strokes, drops from 1st to 4th costing him over $200

It was a wild weekend. Morning thunderstorms, but luckily no rain during the rounds. The river stayed down just enough not to cause us big problems.
Thanks for everyone's vocal approval of the courses. I have to give much credit to the crew who helped out. Randy, Crispin, & Bo put in the new basket on 7 at HH and helped with various other jobs there like replanting signs. Crispin printed up some new sign laminations. Some hard work was done moving dirt and chips. Names include Bo, Robin, Jeff Wade, Randy, Jacob, Josh Hull, Lizard, Josh Luinstra.... could be forgetting a few. Josh Luinstra painted the circles. Anyway, these guys really came together for this tourney.
A lot of work is done that isn't so recognized. Robin did a lot of work updating maps and printing everything up for the tourney. Bob got a huge percentage of the sponsorships as he does every year. Bob does a ton of stuff to help things run smoothly. As far as the crazy finish in the Open Division, that is a shame. But Bob was one TD you could count on having the integrity to be fair, treat everyone equally, and play it by the rules. That's what a Pres. should be.
Lastly, a HUGE thanks to Ace Mason for providing us with $800 in merchandice from Coleman. That was awesome!!

i just want to say thanks to the Wichita crew. the courses were in great shape given the conditions. I know how much work you guys went through to get ready and it is appreciated! I also thought the payout was great. I know you haven taken grief in the past for advertising added cash when it actually went to players packs or other tourney needs versus the payout. This year's great payout is guaranteed to help bring in more pros in the future. I had a good time playing.
