Re: The Rock
Wish I was going as well... haven't missed this tournament in several years. Gotta stick around home in case of a hospital run though!

Re: The Rock
Wow! That is great Mace!
With that said, I hope all 100 of you slip and fall down the cliff and ended up with twisted ankles. J/K
Good luck to all and have a great time playing some of the funniest shots in Kansas.
I pick the Swede for the win. T-Ruder is going to give him a run for his money. King Pin will come in with a really hot last round to make it interesting. Ron is going to forget his putters at home and give everyone a fighting chance.
Go NEWTONIANS!

I learned a long time ago never to pick against Downtown.smitty wrote:I pick the Swede for the win.
Re: The Rock
No doubt RB will be in the mix. Along with any of the other people on the Open list. Whoever catches fire can win, it only takes 1 really hot round. With all the drive and putt holes you never know what is going to happen.Austin wrote:I learned a long time ago never to pick against Downtown.smitty wrote:I pick the Swede for the win.
What will be best score be with 2 extra holes?
Ron killed us last year with a HOT 3rd round and finished at 202 (-14)
Two years ago Brendan edged out Austin (HOT 3rd round)with a HOT final round and finished at 202 (-14)
Three years ago I won with a HOT 3rd round and Good Last round 197 (-19)
Four years ago RB won with a 202 (-14) and no really hot rounds, just Good golf all weekend.
Five years ago, I won with a 218! What the crap happen to all of us that year?
So based on the last 5 years. The addition of 2 holes. A short one that will be birdied, and 2 more that will probably get birdied a ton. The elimination of the downhill hyzer over the bushes. What will the winning score be?
Par will now be 240.
You are getting 12 more birdie chances.
4 of those chances you already had (downhill bushes hole)which was probably a 50% birdie for the champ.
-14 seems like a good bet from previous years.
-I am going to say the new 12 holes will surrender 8 birdies to the champion.
The winner of this years Rock will shoot -20 for the weekend or 220 total. Hot round will be a 49.

Re: The Rock
Interesting insight. Whats the downhill bushes hole? 10? Already cheering for Newton, and haven't even joined the crowd. I see how things are.smitty wrote:No doubt RB will be in the mix.
