i mean that the players pay their amount to make a cash pot for the division. i thinks it's good to have the extra incentive. as far as betting goes i'm not much of a gambler.

I have to sit this one out. It is a big disappointment to me, but it can't be helped. My daughters have their big dance recital for the year tomorrow night. I wish all of you the best of luck and hope to see all of you at the Rock!

Ok, I am here sitting in the back of my Expedition in Emporia where the event will take place using the painfully slow EDGE internet connection. I can hear the bang of chains as some players practice their putting. No doubt they are restless and ready for tomorrow's event. The temperature is starting to drop and I am sure everyone has been checking the weather to see if that 80% chance of overnight rain really comes or will the weatherman be wrong again.

I am rather new to disc golf but have enjoyed the sport very much and almost did not make it to this event but when I saw that the roster quickly climbed to 189 players I knew I had to come out to see what the Glass Blown Open was all about.

I am not here to play but rather try to capture some of the excitement of the tournament through photos and video.

Stay tuned as I work with Rusco, I hope I can find him in the morning, to work out a central place on the web where you can see the photos of the days activities.

Cooldaddy,
I can't wait to see all of your footage. I would love to be down there but I couldn't break away (wife's b-day this weekend). However, a DG buddy of mine is down there so between your footage and his stories... it will be almost like I was there to see it myself.

Keep us posted on where you upload your stuff.

Thanks, Rick
Come to Manhattan. Play our courses.

He'll be in or by the DD RV for sure! Jeremy likes to get to the course in the morning very early, usually before the players show up to warm up!

Ok for you guys that did not make it I am going to try something new, well I have done it before but not at a tournament. I have created a blog where I will be able to post photos of the event. I will be using a phone to take the photos so they will not be supreme quality but this will allow me to post photos more frequently. I will also try to upload snapshots of the crowd and general stuff and try to get those up as soon as possible.

The address for the blog is http://gbopen.blogspot.com. Make sure you bookmark so you can check it often. Now the cell coverage is pretty low around the course so I am not sure how effective this will be but I want to give it a shot.

I will also be taking some more specific action photos of players that will be available for purchase at CoolDaddySlickBreeze.com. So all you players that want that action shot of you Aceing that hole be sure to check it out.

Ok, I am headed back to the course (using me some free wifi at McDonald's).

Woke up early this morning and put together a short video of some clips I shot throughout the day.

Click here and go to bottom of the page for the video

Now time to to head back out to the courses to see how everyone does in the windy day.

NNW winds at 25 to 35 mph should make for some interesting game play
