Re: 2010 Glass Blown Open
results are on the PDGA site. McCabe leads Convers 3rd(would be first if he would play masters), Hudson 2nd in grand masters. lots of golf left. good luck to everyone tomorrow.
Re: 2010 Glass Blown Open
Are you kidding me? The results were posted on-line 30 min after each round, for 270 players. There were also lead card live scoring feeds the last 3 rounds of the tourney.disclizard wrote:wondering if any one is going to post todays results before the night is over?

Great to see Emac back on top! Is this his 2nd or more title since they started counting GBO's? Way to go, Eric & Liz!
How man 2nd place finishes is this for Josh Anthon? (Not that that is a bad thing). Seems like he's nipping at the winners heel's in every big event.
Would love to hear how it all went down.

Re: 2010 Glass Blown Open
Eric's on a roll. He's winning tournaments left and right over the last month or so.
The Glass Blown Open exceeded my expectations, which is pretty crazy. I already knew it was going to be the best tournament of the year. Everything ran smoothly, no real kinks or hiccups. All of the players that I talked to were really enjoying their time in Emporia.
I never said congrats to Mike D. for bringing home the victory for Winfield. That's awesome! I didn't even know he'd won until I was on the way home, as I had been too busy to look at the results.
It's hard to imagine next year will be even better, but I know it will be. Don't miss out.

Re: 2010 Glass Blown Open
We played Jones East then West on saturday. Peter Pan then Jones East on sunday. Both Jones' courses were set up EXTREMELY difficult and any scores under par were rated 1000 or over I believe..... I have never played so ho-hum in my life. Counted it up, I had only 10 dueces all weekend. Not many bogies either, just never could get on a roll. The way the scores shook out, I feel I could have easily finished top 15 or even 10 had I played well, just a bit too cautious at times I suspect... E was outstanding all weekend long. Anthon and Hunt both stayed within a couple shots for a while, Mac just was not going to allow anyone else to win this event. Nikko and RonVers each had a substandard round for them, Nikko shot 54 (-2) the first round and Ron shot 50 at Peter Pan. Both could have made it very interesting....I also heard a rumor Nikko dueced #18 at Jones East in the final round. WOW!! Not only did it take a amazing shot to get to that green, but I commend him for having huge stones to even attempt that shot with big money riding on a high chance of being OB there... All in all I had a great time, met some new friends, and the players party was sick with Smitty on the mic calling the play-by-play of the putting finals....Get in early next year if you weren't there!

What he said.
I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.
Re: 2010 Glass Blown Open
Although I played shitty on the east course at jones i had the time of my life at the tournament, rusco and team double d were the crap, I want to applaud them. The courses were the best I ever seen them. Except the poison ivy every where but what can you do lol. Players party was the crap. I can't wait until next year with the fourth course being added over at the middle school, I heard awesome stuff about that course. Again thanks rusco and team double d what a awesome tournament. E-Mac and Liz are for real and congradulations on the wins.

Re: 2010 Glass Blown Open
I don't know if the Overflow is going to happen next year or not? I vote yes for sure. I am not a huge fan of having the GBO playing at the Middle School and I like the fact that we were able to do something else that no other company could pull off. DD will have many discussions in the next few weeks and start to plan 2011. You know it is going to be off the hook. With many of the same things we had this year and maybe a something new.
If you missed out this year, I am sorry. We had the best weather in the history of the event. The biggest group of people from the most different places, crazy payout, and more good times then I could mention here.
I plan on writing a complete event recap in the next week or two. Write now, I am to spent.

You know, except for some early morning chilliness both days, I don't think we could have asked for better weather. I heard at least three guys complment how nice the Kansas weather is.
My props to Team DD on a magificently organized event. I know you all put months of planning into this and how smoothly everything ran is testament to that.
I know we have some very happy out of staters heading home spreading the good word about the GBO.
And gooddoggitydang, how about final nine?

How about the final nine? I think Smitty will tell us. Is Cool Daddy Slick Breeze making up a vidyo?
On the Oz Tour points (triple for this event), it was decided beforehand that we would average the scores from the course each division played twice and then add that to the other two course scores. So it'll take a little bit of work. This is so that players playing Peter Pan twice won't have an unfair advantage over players playing Jones East twice, etc. I'll get with Rusco and find out the order of courses each division played and whether or not the order listed in the PDGA results reflects the actual order of courses played for each division.
