Nate you are probably correct. 1880 is when they lit up Broadway, and the phrase was coined.

Also the year the incandescent light bulb was patented by Edison and the year they put in the first electric street lamp.

Easy on the Garfield, though, he was elected in November 1880 but didn't take office til '81.

Smitty, what phrase was coined?

What a bizarre place for a history field trip.

The Yankee pitched a perfect game.

The light bulb/lamp lead to lighting up Broadway. "Great White Way"

Buddy, Rich, Harv, Ring. None have been pdga for several years. Ben Maas. I'm thinking of possible teams. Give me some help. My last rating was 919 in 2009. I'm a lot older now.

A note: You will save me a step by including the KDGA events you've played this year.

So after an evening of calculations....

Maas- 963 (Your tourney rounds were all pretty consistent. Also if I read Schoenny's table right, you have the best singles average in the 'Ta)
Ring- 940 (I didn't count Topeka, it was nowhere close to your other scores. If I don't use Herrington, you are 951)
Couey- 800 (Anything below an 870 doesn't matter much unless McCabe wants to be your partner :P )

That is what I came up with. I will let T.D.'s and Hopper weigh in still. If someone shows me an easier way, I'm gonna check it out.

Incidentally, to check if my method was close to accurate, I ran Sweet Phil's numbers.
Phil's current PDGA rating: 945
Phil's 1880 Dubs trial rating: 948

The train would be perfect!

Just a guess

Harv 960-965 area
Dave 940-45ish
Buddy 930-35is

Results for them.

Harv
4fathers 116 (1 Stroke behind Curtis)
Mitch Mac (964) 57,51, 57, 49 (29)

Dave
Tick Ranch 100 (Tied Curtis, Maas got him by 3)
4 fathers 124 (tied Wiggins)
Mitch Mac (936) 53, 56, 63, 55

Buddy
Tick Ranch 105
Mitch Mac (942) 68, 54, 56, 61

These may help http://www.pdga.com/tournament_results/64920/Open
(#####) is the rating the PDGA gave them at the above tourney.

Working on my Schoenny apprenticeship. I am attempting to enter the results of every non-PDGA KDGA event this season into a single spreadsheet provided by my mentor, Mike. Deep inside this spreadsheet are the guts that spit out PDGA ratings. When the dust settles, I hope to provide every player who has three or more KDGA rounds a "Local Player Rating." This LPR can be blended with any PDGA rated rounds to give us the KPR or Kansas Player Rating: a very accurate rating of how each golfer has played this season.

Hi all,
I'm a junior at Newton High School. A couple of my friends and I have been playing disc golf for a little over a year now, and we'd really be interested in getting out and meeting some of the other golfers in the area and seeing how we stack up. We don't have PDGA rankings or anything, but we'd be interested in playing nonetheless. However, we are all on the varsity soccer squad, and if our team does well, we may still be in season at that point, so it may have to be a last-minute call whether we play or not. In any case, this sounds like a great event!
