Look at the schedule above. Any weekend that isn't currently filled is up for grabs.

1) Must be a KDGA member.
2) $2/ member needs to go to the KDGA.
3) If you do a $1 ace fund, 1/2 goes to the KDGA. If you do $1+, at least $1/person needs to go to the KDGA.

I do not see WYCO. Does that mean they are not a KDGA stop this year?

Little Apple going to two days this year? I wonder if that's going to be a problem with KSU commencement that same weekend.

I think he means a double point event, not triple. The triple point events are the 2 day events. There are 6 triple point events and 9 double point events which comprise the "supertour".

Commencement is on Saturday.

We've been toying with the idea of making Little Apple a 2 day event, with the tournament being just 1 day, possibly Sunday.

My concern was that if you're going to hold a two-day event that will pretty much mean an overnight stay for far off attendees, those folks will have to stay somewhere. Not everyone is into the whole camping thing, (and even some who are perhaps would rather not do it at the height of tornado season), so a motel is the most logical option for those people.

And Manhattan has plenty of facilities available to handle that, just not on that particular weekend. I decided to stay the night up there last year for the one day event so I could get some day before practice, and had to get a room in Topeka because everything in Manhattan and JC was full. (Granted it provided an excuse to go to Club Orleans, but that's for another story).

Thing is I checked room rates for the Motel 6 in Manhattan for that weekend, and they're already at a premium. I suspect by LAO registration time, they're going to be gone.

Note the LAO and the Hot Cold Classic have changed dates.

The plan for right now is LAO on Saturday, with camping/hanging out that night. Then after correspondence with the Manhattan crew possibly something at the other 2 courses on Sunday.

We are hoping to put on another tournament here in Pittsburg KS on July 30th. We are awaiting approval to see if we can host it on the grounds of PSU campus around the university lake. We are still undecided if this is going to be a C-tier event or not but my plans are for it to be. Just FYI.
