The tourney is now officially half full - 45 pre-registrations over a week before the event.

The long range forecast for next Sunday the 11th at Weather.com is 56 degees and sunny with only a 10% chance of precipitation and winds out of the south at 9mph! Can you say, "ideal conditions"? 8)

KM

PS: Disclaimer - Ten days is a bit of a stretch to be forecasting the weather. But I remain optimistic! :D

Looking forward to making the trip! The weather doesn't have to be that nice at all to be better than last year.

We're about two-thirds full. If you are thinking about playing and haven't pre-registered yet you should contact me ASAP.

The course is looking great. Several of us spent all weekend out there fixing tee signs, spreading mulch, installed a new short #17 pin, etc.....

Here's the current registrant list:

I just got an e-mail with two more.

It's Full!

A waiting list has started with one entry already. Online registration is closed. If you want on the waiting list e-mail me or give me a call. If there are unpaid no shows Sunday morning as of 9:00am we will go to the waiting list starting at number one if they are there. Paid no shows get until 9:15 to show up or call before I give up their spots. If you are running late call me, otherwise you need to check in by 9:15am. If someone drops out before the event the waiting list will fill the spot automatically.

Here's the field:

Whew, with the time change it's going to be an early morning in Salina on Sunday. We've got a representative in four divisions (counting my brother-in-law from Concordia) so it'll be fun to see how the central ks guys make out.

Sorry to all those that didn't get in in time. I have five on the waiting list so far. Sanctioned events are just taking off like crazy this year. Saint Louis had a similar problem a couple weeks ago and added a course. I am not going to be able to do that. Eighteen holes with fivesomes max. Gonna be some quality disc golf! 8)

I know the course at Wyco is already long, but I also remember that park being huge. I don't know what pecentage of the park is yours to use for the course or if the whole thing is already filled with the course, but if there's room, in the future maybe you could add a couple temp holes for tourney's. If they go over good, make them permanent.

I played a two rounds of 27 holes C tier last year in Austin, MN and they were able to accomodate more people because of the extra holes. I don't even know if you are looking for ways to allow for more people, but that is just an idea.

I know it would be pushing it at this point to add a couple temp holes, especially with the days still being short, but it's just a way to sneak ten or twelve more players in at the last minute.

Anyway, I'm pumped to play this thing with any amount of holes out there. See you all in a few days!!!!!

Sorry.... WyCo is what it is.

I don't want to take the chance of detracting from a quality course by adding holes that have never been tried before at the last minute. Maybe in the future but not at this late date.

This seems to be the future of disc golf. Sanctioned tourneys filling up all over. More and more people playing all the time. I think it's a great thing for the sport.

I'm already considering a pro/am event next year. Pros on Saturday Ams on Sunday. That would solve the problem as long as I can avoid conflicts with other events.
