I even know a dude who jacked his arm up, and started playing left handed. Anybody could be the world champ of this sport!! Its just a matter of who can afford to play everyday. My grandma could play this crap.. I've seen kids who could throw 500ft. There is nothing amazing about discgolf at all except all the differant types of people and weed.

That was just hilarious. I'm sure everyone agrees. You duped the best of us. It was so convincing, I at first thought the "it was just a joke" was a cover up. When you mentioned Friz though, I had to admit I'd been had. Friz is an expert at saying things that tick people off. I bet he was talking in your ear while you were typing...

Let's get this "off topic" thread back on target. Now, how come none of you listed Disc Golf Superhero as one of your main idols?

I don't know if I have any disc golf idols. I know DGSH was one of about three people that I would watch and copy when I first starting to play disc. The other two are Kevin C. and John H.

I think the person who inspired me the most was Billy C. I had a few disc and had played before, but he is the one who got me playing everyday and going to league. Some of the best times I have had playing disc golf were rounds before I could throw over 300ft.

I also have to mention Randy B. for teaching me how to putt and how to play a better quality of golf.

This guy named Big-D inspired me when he threw his bag in the river.
I was also inspired by all the golfers who lost there wifes because of disc golf. Discgolf has inspired me to quit working, smoke more funny cigarettes, and have unprotected sexual relations with drunk $%#@*(& oops  nevermind..

Anyway I love this sport!! You don't even have to be inspired to play!!

We only have Pepsi products - I hope that will suffice.

And since you are above being inspired that must make you a leader. Well god I hope not 'cause you would be the first to lead an army straight over a cliff's edge.

Umm.......no
Umm....... Yes!! Funnest most talked about tournament in our state! Its still a whole year until it happens again, and people are already talking about next year. Isn't it the biggest thread on this forum? I met people who lived in California who heard and new all about the Friz. Its the only tourny I have ever been in where ya get disqualified for Bitchen. No wonder most of you PDGAers don't go. Thats all most of you do. Oh foot fault, your name isn't on your disc, falling putt...Bla Bla Bla BOO HOO HOO.. Not to mention you don't get a great payout and thats all most of you care about..

Long live the KDGA and Octoberfriz :!:

The Friz is kinda like Treasure Island or maybe an animal circus?

Try the Friz sober and see how you like it. The effects are definitely wearing off.

There are still some great things about it. Mainly getting together with so many of your disc golf buds. There are some folks you only see at the friz, and most of these guys are pretty cool to hang out with.

I just hate seeing the golf wither away each year. Every year since 2000 (my first friz), the quality of the courses has deteriorated. No bitching is an excuse for "you get whatever we give ya". On the other hand, I can see how with the bad weather and the hangovers, the players might prefer the open all 300' (250') hole course.

In summary, Ring's post was the most terrible so far in 2007. But it was intentionally terrible, so it should be defended at all costs. Cliff diving is cool.

The first Friz I ever went to I was sober the entire time. I just as much fun or even more!! Its great either way. I consider it my vacation every year. If I could only play 1 tourny a year that would be it!! I have more fun at the friz then when I went to Vegas, Mexico, snowboarding, Hollywood, or the Lakers game I went to. I will attened the friz every year intil I die :!:

It`s funny how the same people that rag on Octoberfriz-never cash at the friz.
When you have to choose between your woman and discgolf, don`t be stupid-choose the discgolf.

Don't get me wrong, I NEVER said the Friz' wasn't fun. I have had fun times since my first Friz in '98. I was just giving my opinion, and I think I speak for a lot of people on this forum, that as an actual "Disc Golf" tourney, it is no where near the best tournament in the state. And as far as us "PDGA'ers" not playing, I seriously doubt it has anything to do with the rules or anything like that. In my opinion, since I started playing it; yes the quality of golf has gone down, the players packs have decreased and decreased to the point where you get a hand drawn map, 3 marbles, a Pez dispenser and maybe, JUST MAYBE a few army men. I do love the Friz and the staff that runs it, I just choose not to worship it like some people do.
