I'm finally doing it. This is my wife's home country and I haven't made it there yet in the 8 years we've been together. As soon as the United States gets my passport in the mail, I'll pick up my tickets for the 1st to 3rd week in Oct, which is coming up soon.
Don't know exactly what to expect, but it will be exiciting. They have less than 10 golf courses in Bulgaria, but the ones they do have are high dollar resorts, which should be exciting. Thracian Cliffs is on the Black Sea. It does look like Pebble Beach!

No disc golf courses there. That doesn't mean I can't throw some discs. I'll just draw a crude map with some tree to tree instructions and we'll call that the first DG course in BG. Plan on doing some hiking in the Rhodope, Pirin, and Rila mountains. Didi says the pace of life is slower there, so I am going to have to chill it on adventures every day. We'll see.
Will be spending one day/night in Munich, Germany on the way home. Too back Oktoberfest will be over! Had to check dgcoursereview.com. 33 courses in Germany! What I couldn't believe was how old some of them are. Looking to check this one out.

Well I know most of you on this board have visited Bulgaria several times, so I'm hoping you can give me some travel tips. What not to miss, what to avoid, what to do if you get interrogated by the feds and asked for money in exchange for freedom, etc.

Don't drink the water! Oh, wait, is that BG, or is that somewhere else??
Have a good trip! I'm sure you will!
