Good disc golf DVD's

Post by Schoen-hopper »

Anyone seen some of these that are worth the money? 2003 USDGC is under $15. Which ones had the best coverage?

This one is cheap. I dunno that I want to take a chance on this one though. Just call it a hunch.

I've seen Discs and Dorks and it's pretty much the worst video ever made.
Not just the worst disc golf video, but the absolute worst collection of video ever put on DVD.

DUDE DONT BUY THAT DISCS AND DORKS. I GOT IT AS A PRIZE IN A PUTTING CONTEST AND PUT IT IN THE VCR IN THE HOTEL ROOM. WE WATCHED IT FOR BOUT 40 MINUTES AND GOT TIRED OF IT AND TRIED TO EJECT IT. NO GO. IT GOT LEFT RIGHT THERE STUCK IN THE VCR. I WANTED TO ACTUALLY QUIT DISC GOLF AFTER I WATCHED IT, IT WAS THAT BAD!!!

Why the F__K did I just type that in all caps?, too bad, not retyping

I have 2003 USDGC DVD. It is the best I have seen! There are a lot of cool shots, and a lot of "ok" video, but the suden death playoff between Schultz and Climo is great! I would pick it up fo sure. Oh, and a cameo shot of E-Mac at the playoff!

I have 2002 and 2003 Worlds. 2003 Worlds is not that great, simply because it is in Flagstaff and you can't see the disc fly for very long. I guess there are too many trees for good coverage. Who knows. Bill P is on there! Also, Elain Kings almost ace of a 900+ foot (I think?) hole. Cool footage of that. Overall though, not that great.

2002 Worlds was ok.

That's all I have, so not much news here.

Dusty R has 2004 Worlds with Kella (Iowa). He could prob give you a review. I can't see spending 30+ clams on that one.

I have the 2003 USDGC and the 2004 worlds DVD's. The 04 worlds one I though stunk and the 2003 USDGC is pretty good. I have also seen the cool shot series and they stink, dont waste your money on them. The best DVD i have seen is the MSDGC Marshall Street DVD. I got the 2004 version of the MSDGC video and it is awsome. Much better than any other disc golf DVD that I have seen.

Met this guy in Aspen. Heard good things about his video's. Of course he was standing right there at the time.

yeah I think they are good because he was standing next to you. These are the cool shot series that myself and others have said where horrible. I dont know about the other ones such as the memorial and bud hill that are listed, but the shots ones are just not a good product

The Marshall street 04' video is great to watch. The course has a lot of variety and you get to see some great shots.

The Stokely videos are o.k. I wish I would have bought them the 2nd month I'd been playing instead of the 2nd year though.

The best/only disc golf video's I've seen are the Disc Golf Live series. Volume 1 Episode 5, Volume 1 Episode 6, and Volume 1 Episode 7. Just found out they're available through Salina Community Access for $15 each. That includes postage. www.salnet.org

Or keep an eye on the schedule and get your best Salina buddy to record it for you. Episode 6 starts airing Nov 8th.

VHS $15
DVD $15

Pirated copy off Access...bring Brandon a blank VHS tape to Hutchinson and promise him favors.

$15 don't sound bad now does it.

Ah yes Joe a much better idea. Go straight to the source.

I'll say it again these are worth watching. Support Joe and what he's doing for the sport.

Salina folks remember episode 7 airs tonight at 5pm and 10pm.
