The Rolling Hills Showdown

Post by str8 »

Greetings,

Sorry I'm behind on this, but I got my daughter back last week and her birthday was yesterday, so it's been hectic. What I'm planning on doing is having a match play/skins tourney. We'll do an A pool and a B Pool, with a staggered start. It will be head to head with double elimination, so even if you lose once you still have a chance to win it all. I'll figuree out prices and post them soon.

REGISTRATION: 9 AM
START: 10 AM

A POOL: $20 (cash payout)
B POOL: $15 (plastic payout)

$5 ACE FUND (optional) If no one aces we'll play a CTP.

Format: Double elimination match play/skins. The brackets will be subject to the number of people in each pool. Seeding will be decided by drawing names out of a hat, or another practical manner. Weather permitting, the brackets will be taped to a picnic table and it will be the responsibility of two parties in the match to correctly fill in the brackets once the match is over. There may be first round byes, so bring something to help pass the time. OB's include roads, alleys and peoples backyards.

I am a virgin in the way of being a TD, so I ask you to be patient with me. I hope we have a good turnout and a good time.

I think that covers everything. See you on Sunday.

Its on 42nd street I think??? If you come from the east exit at vine street. Head south on vine make sure to merge to the right lane and take your first right. It will look like a frontage road and its right in front of a gas station and a couple hotels. Take this road(42??) and then you will be heading west the course will be on your left if you get to the four way stop you went to far.

I talked to Mace earlier today, and we decided it would be too cumbersome to do the payout in plastice for the Am (B) pool, so we'll do it with cash too.

The course is actually at 41st and Autumn Lane. If you're coming from the south on 183, I'd take the by-pass past the Frontier park, Gross memorial, and the Vet clinic. Once you've past these, look for a church on the west side. I don't remember the name of the church, but it sits on 41st street. Take a right (east) on 41st street. You'll hit Hall street which is a four way stop. The park is a block further on the right. If you're coming from I-70, I'd take exit 160 or 161, you'll see the battery factory and the highway patrol office this is the by-pass only from the other way. Then follow the same directions.

Thanks to all who made it out. We had 9 in the B pool and 8 in the A pool. We also had a $65 ace fund. These are the results:

A Pool

Chad Garrison $70
Keving Rorabaugh $50
Brad Smith $24

B Pool

Josh Creamer $50
Dustin Reagan $35
Ryan Beisner $20
Joey Wasinger $12

No one hit the ace, so we played it off and Dusty Ream took home the prize. Thanks again to those who made the trip.

Yeah thanx, Str8. That was a great lil' tournament. It should definitely be an annual deal.
