P-Burg

Post by Sandman »

I talked with a dude today from phillipsburg that currently lives and plays in KC and its looking like they might be getting an 18 hole course. A few things need to get established before its a lock but I would say its looking fairly well. Im getting together with the guy in the future so more details will come later. Ive only been to p-burg once so I dont know how the park looks but he informed me that they are renovating it as we speak so it should be pretty nice. Im gonna recommend chainstars since no other course in ks has them but we'll see. I think mach 5's would be cool also but then again we'll see...........

I lived in P Burg when i was first introduced to Disc Golf and I went to HS there as well. Unless the park has changed a lot I dont see much room for a course. Maybe a nine hole. But the majority of the park is covered with volleyball courts and softball fields. Again i have not been there in about 3 years but i cant imagine it has changed that much. But if they can get a course there, i would love it. Give me more to do when visiting family

If Im not mistaken Jon informed me that there is actually two places he is considering for a course so I dont really know??? He did say something about a creek in between the park and 18 holes for sure.........18 would be way cooler than nine.

yeah there is a creek in between the park. The other half of the park is an RV camp if i remember right, and i guess i have never really been on that side of the creek so there might be more land than i remember. Well keep us posted as you hear stuff, i would be really happy to see a course go in there

You could alway go play in Stockton when you are there Scott! What more could you want? A town of 400 people with 2 golf courses!

Both sides of the creek is what Jon was talking about so that sounds familiar.......From what he said there is plenty of room.

I am scheduled to be here till Jan 07 but there is a chance i will be coming back sooner, not sure when though. Not sure what I am gonna do when i am done. I might stay in and make a career or go guard, or go back and finish school. There are a lot of years left for me to figure that out
