Fundraising Tournament in Hays

Post by -overstable- »

The Advanced Technology Student Organization of Fort Hays State University is proud to announce that we will be hosting our first tournament at Frontier Park in Hays, KS. This will be on April 9th, 2005.
There will be two rounds for this tourney, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Registration at 9:00 AM at the Main Pavillion in Frontier Park South.
Players Meeting at 9:45 AM
Tee Off at 10 AM

The entry fee is simple: $10.00 per person and it will be a random draw doubles tourney.
Just added: Ace fund. $2.00. Think you can Ace at Frontier? Why not get paid for it.

One half of the total entrance fees will be paid back out to the top three teams at the end of the day. The other half will be used to help finance our "Computers for Kids" program, which is explained a little more at the end of this post.

We are in the process of trying to line up further prizes so you may be surprised with what we have. Come on out, have some fun, and help us to help these kids.

We, as a student organization at Fort Hays State University, are taking donated computers, refurbishing them, and donating them to a local school so they can use them as a check out for underpriveledge families. This will help those children to keep current in the ways of technology and to enable them to be more productive by using the technology. This will help them to become more productive members of society later on in life.

Any questions send me an email at [email protected]

I been takin so many days off I don't know if I'll be able to make it. I have to work at 3 o'clock on saturday. I'll try to show up and see if I can make some arrangements to work it out.
I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.

If anyone is planning on coming up here for this tourney, would you mind posting so I can get an idea of how many we might have? It would be appreciated. Still trying to work out lunch and prizes but I do know we have a Roc and 2 APX's up for grabs, so far. We have also added and Ace fund that will cost you $2.00.

I have no idea if anyone from this board is showing up. No one has said a word about it. We may have people there that didn't post but nothing definite. We did come up with some other prizes this morning.(Friday) We have a $30.00 gift card from Wal-Mart, a $25.00 gift card from Wal-Mart, a $25.00 gift card to Sears, $25.00 gift card from Taco Shoppe in Hays, 10 free games of bowling at Centennial Lanes in Hays, and the three discs that I mentioned in an earlier post. One Roc and two APX's. I'm hoping people show up so that we can think about doing this every year, or at the very least, raise a little cash for our Computers for Kids program this year.
