If your taking I-70, don't miss Frontier Park in Hays, KS.

If your taking US 54 or 50 to I-35, great courses to play are Oak Park and Herman Hill Park in Wichita and Jones Park (2 courses) in Emporia.

The Kansas City area courses are all worth playing.

Sounds like a blast to me!! I'm on a disc golf tour myself. Allbeit, a move across the US. Goin from Durango, CO to Terre Haute, IN.

Sounds like you'll be going thru the 4 Corners! Cortez is currently the nicest course in Colorado. Just gorgeous. I've got plenty of pictures of that course I need to make available. Mesa Verde in the skyline, beautiful rolling grass in a nice open city park. Skip Fort Lewis in Durango, but if you want any tips on where to eat, there's 200 places there, and I'd be happy to make some recommendations. Same goes for Kansas. I'm running out of places I haven't eaten!! Make sure you play Timberline Academy, North of Hermosa, and don't miss Montrose, both of which are on the way to Glenwood Springs.

Bypass the course at Frisco, CO. In the past, this has been the best course in Colorado, but I was there Sunday and it's a mess. They've gone in and logged the forest, pulled all the baskets, and made it virtually unplayable. Spend your time in Denver-Boulder instead.

The drive to Kansas City should be interesting. Lots of courses on the eastern portion of that stretch! If it were me, I wouldn't stay in Colby... I'd stay in Hays. Cuts down 1.5 hours of drive time at minimum that next day, and gets you closer to the eastern half where most of the courses are.

I'm heading east tommorow thru Columbia to Terre Haute, IN. to look at houses, so I'm sure to be playing some of the same stuff you will over the next few days. :D

Thanks for the tips about courses in western Colorado and where to stay in Kansas. That's just the kind of infor we're looking for! If you'll be along our route while we're travelling let me know - we'd be happy to play!

Much Thanx,

Rizbee
When are you coming through Hays? If you let me know I should be able to swing that date and round up a few locals. We'll be able to show you around our course. We have our pins in alternate settings right now, but they are still fun.

Just south of the four corners area is Farmington, Nm. I played a beautiful course there. beginners course, but a lot of fun. Many holes required strategic placement over distance.

You guys may be at Water Works in time for our Thursday evening league. Our leagues are like mini tourneys so you can jump right in with us if you like. We tee off at 6pm so if you can be there before that you would be more than welcome. If you are running late but will be there around 6pm just call the number listed here to let the TD know you are coming:

I highly recommend that you get that round in at Hays though. It's one of my all time favorite courses and I live in KC with 8+ courses. 8)

Ya gotta hit Wichita and play Herman or Oak. Both really challenging courses. Herman is championship quality from Long Tees to long pins. Oak is lots of out of the woods and long low ceiling shots. Both worth the drive if ya can swing it. Good luck on your trip!!

It may be a bit hot to play on the anvil. You are right though, that's a fun, albeit short course. I was shooting -8's down there, and I rarely ever shoot better than +2-3 anywhere else.
