I don't know what Frizz you have been playing the last few years. There hasn't been 300 players in several years.
The Friz is building back up.Octoberfriz is the event I was playing when all of you didn`t even know about discgolf.Maybe when I was discgolfing 17 years ago you were just working on your mindless criticism.
When you have to choose between your woman and discgolf, don`t be stupid-choose the discgolf.

Frizzz I am not trying to debate the fact, that the Frizzz was once HUGE as both disc golf and party.

It has changed the last 17 years.

I agree, that it is a pretty good $60.00 investment.
-Almost all the beer you can drink.
-Free camping most years.
-Hanging out with people you see only a few times a year.
-A free meal one of the nights.
-Glow doubles

As a tourney, it doesn't stack up as a top 5 event I played this year. It isn't the worst event that I played either.

I don't play many tournaments yearly, but going off of the recent past:

GBO - handsdown my fave, by FAR!
KCWO - a very well run tourney
Mighty Shunga Nunga Open - bring it back!
Frontier Open - a don't miss (even though I missed it)
Oklahoma Open - another very well run tourney

Honorable mentions:
Mighty Mo (I've won both years!) :P
City of Fountains - Cliff Drive & Blue Valley ~> a LOT of DG!

1- Am Nationals in Michigan! Amazing tournament, great player pack, free stuff all the time, great course with lots of elevation changes. Best weekend of disc golf I've ever had. Any Am who can go should go next year.

2- Am Worlds in Tulsa! 7 rounds of disc golf at six different courses. Lots of fun and a great learning experience.

3- GBO in Emporia. Great courses! Well organized event!

4- Oklahoma Open. 4 courses in two days. Awards took a long time though

5- Beloit. Just a fun weekend. Camping, swimming, food, and disc golf! This will be on the list of events to hit up next year

Honorable Mention: Dynamic Discs Open just because of the amazing turnout. Should be bigger and better next year! 2 day B-tier

#2. The "Rock".....My first time.....I can't wait until the next one.
#3. The "Dyck" course.......Obviously not one of the top tourneys but there is a sense of great achievement and success when you hold a tournament on your own property.....Looking forward to holding it again.
#4. Beloit....."State Championship"....great times with great friends.
#5. Glass Blown Open......Enough said!!!

For KDGA tournaments, I'd go with this list plus the Red Bud Open.

Glass Blown and Beloit seem to be winning this thread.

Another good tournament was the Dynamic Discs Open. For a small entry fee, I got a sweet shirt and my pick from some awesome discs. Rusco is the man.

I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.
