Chavez Ridge

Post by Ring »

Brand new kick arse course going to be finished in May.. Its in Burbank California in Elysian park.. Its called Cavez Ridge.. Very long, tight wooded holes, down curvy paths, and trails, with lots of elevation change.. Beautiful L.A. skyline, and Dodger stadium in the background... many of the holes reminded me of the long wooded holes at Teds Dread... Will instantly become one of the best course in Southern California... And the best thing is its the closest course to me, so its gonna get much play from me :!: :!: :!:

If ya want to see pictures punch in "Chavez Ridge, CA" on google, click on disc golf courses, click Chavez Ridge, then click photos.. This will show you the first days of the course with spray painted tees, and wooden posts in ground where baskets will go..

The baskets are in now but won't be open for play until somtime in May. I went and checked it out though and man is it sweet.. There still working on tees, and cutting, and leveling out trails..

I will be playing the 10th annual Fling at Whittier Narrows all the money raised at this tourny will pay for the tees at Chavez..

When its all finished I will post pictures of every hole on here for ya guys :P

I never thought I'd ever have a reason to go to Burbank. The slide show of proposed pin placements changed all that. Looks like you're going to have a nice course nearby now. Congrats.

Baskets are in. Check out pictures on site of first post on this thread. Sweet little course, but the lengths aren't accurate. Its a tough course that will test your accuracy.

Not as long as they proposed, but still a well designed sweet course!! I was very impressed with all the work and time they put into this. And those baskets kick arse!!

Looks like Ace runs. Unless they've changed the distances.

I shot -3 with 7 birdies and 4 bogeys :( It was pretty rough terrain and elevation change). The holes were short but some of them were like at the Canyon  Throw and hope :? Very fun reminded me of down under on some parts.
