Here is some info for the Ams.

Because pre-registration lagged quite a bit compared to past years, I wasn't able to give you a definite schedule of events until now. Currently, we have 77 paid players and 15 more who've said they'll be here. This means we'll be split into the following 2 pools:

Pool A: Advanced Men and ALL women
Pool B: Intermediate, Recreational, and Advanced Masters (and Grand Masters if we have enough)

There must be 4 players to hold a division. If you're currently registered in a Recreational division, you will most likely be bumped into Intermediate, unless we get a flurry of Recreational entries this week.

Here is the schedule.

The baskets are most likely in their tournament placements at the time of this email, but they will be there for sure by tomorrow night. There will be NO rope used to mark any OB at Swope. There will be some painted OB lines on holes 4, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17 at Swope, and holes 8 and 9 at Rosedale. These lines will mainly be along the edges of parking lots and/or streets that are already normally OB. The painted lines just make it clearer.

Player check-in and late registration will be from 9 a.m. to about 6:30 p.m. Friday at Disc Golf World, 509 E. 18th St., near Downtown Kansas City, MO. If you can't make it in person, please give a call to let us know that you're going to be here.

The players meeting will be at Downings on Friday night at 8:00.

Saturday's first round:

Pool A: Swope @ 9:00
Pool B: Rosedale @ 9:00

Saturday's second round will start approximately 1 hour after all groups have finished round 1 Each pool will play the same course they played in the morning. (Pool A stays at Swope, Pool. B stays at Rosedale)

Sunday's first round:

Pool A: Rosedale @ 8:00AM
Pool B: Swope @ 8:00AM

Sunday's second round will start approximately 1 hour after all groups have finished round 1 Each pool will play the same course they played in the morning. (Pool B stays at Swope, Pool A stays at Rosedale)

Awards for all pools will be at Rosedale after Sunday's second round has completed. Players in Pool B should head over to Rosedale as soon as possible to collect any prizes

Please be our guest for dinner and the fly mart at Downings on Saturday night. Look for specials on beer from our sponsors: Warsteiner and Newcastle. This will start around 6:30. It costs $25 to sell at the fly mart.
Contact Rick Rothstein if interested.

The Final 9 for the pros will start around 3:00 p.m at Water Works.

You might want to know:
Note #1: The host hotel (Days Inn) changed affiliation and is now the Sun
Inn.

Note #2: If traveling FROM the north on HWY 29/35, the Missouri River bridge
crossing is closed, and you'll be detoured.

Note #3: If for some reason you're wanting to go to Rosedale, the Mission Rd
exit when traveling FROM THE NORTH on I-35 is closed. Take Rainbow instead down to 43rd St. (next to the QuikTrip). Turn right on 43rd. Go about a half mile to Mission Rd. Turn right again, go one block, and park is on left.

Note #4: Go to www.discgolfworld.com to check out the cool InnColor discs that are free with $40 sponsorship.

Travel safely,

John Chapman

Anyone going to play doubles at Blue Valley tomorrow? This is going to be KC's newest course. Long with lots of elevation is the description. I went out and saw the course a few weeks ago. Front nine baskets were in, but I had no idea where the tees would be. Cool looking park, but watch out, its in the hood!

They'll have the course up for doubles tomorrow. I'm curious to what people actually think of the set up.

There is going to be a tourney at Blue Valley next month (City of Fountains). I would consider going if the course is as good as its been described.
