Hey yall,

It's late, but real quick, a -10 under one tonight in doubles. Hole five got aced twice tonight, and it cost me $10 for a total of $20 to play. Tank and CD took it down. Tank and Doc hit the aces. Nicely done gentelman!

We had 87 participants. The lead score after the first round was -1. The wind was brutal today. Claudio aced 7, and someone else aced 5. We'll try to have some scores up tonight. Gotta go to the players party.

Hah.

What was the deal?
I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.

Results should be on the PDGA site. Thanks to everyone who came. It was a great weekend and we hope to make it bigger and better next year. We forgot to announce the winner of the Ron Rice Award, so the winner was Karen Elder. Ron and Karen did a lot for disc golf in our community, and the award is long over due. Thanks again,

Only 420 for first place?

I thought first was going to snag at least 500.

Ya it's hard to have a fat payout when they were one of the smaller division. Only 10 Open players!

You could have put all the sponsor $$ into the open division. :D

That would have made it fat. :D

This tournament keeps raising the bar every year. Thanks to Str8 and Mace Man for a great tournament... The sponsorship was huge. The players pack was fantastic and included a "book" about the tournament and the sponsors. It also had all the information you could ask for about Hays. The park was in great shape. Nice mowed grass, circles on all 42 placements, and litter free. Course design: excellent. The temp holes were all very interesting. The regular course tee / pin placement choices were very thoughtful. Though Saturday tested every golfer to their limits, the 24 hole lay-out was an excellent idea and added to what was already a great tourney.

Lots of people from a long ways off showed up to play in these extreme conditions. You know it's difficult when only 2 players out of 86 shoot under par. I saw a lot of golf shots that you don't normally see with this galeforce wind. Good, bad, ugly... it was all there. Iqbal got an ace today on the F Hole!

Thanks again for all of the friendliness and hospitality of the Hays folk. You all put on a great tournament that we are unlikely to forget. Next year I'm sure it will be even bigger.

Yea, awsome job guys. I had a blast on that course. Kansas golf never ceases to amaze me!

Not a complaint, so don't take it that way, but why did the Masters in both the advanced and pro divisions get more of a payout? I understand that there was more Pro Masters than there were Pros but there were many more Advanced Men than there were Advanced Masters and they got a good $40 to $60 mark up?
