The courses had some of the most amazing holes i have ever seen in disc golf. they were like ball golf holes, long with huge dog-legs. I definitely liked the river course the best, because thats where we played the best, 1st round on alternating shot. Strawbale was just as great of a course, i just sucked it up on that course. It seemed like every shot tracy and i had ended up buried in some trees or behind something. we never had any legitimate runs for birdies.
It is too bad they are selling the land and removing the course this week, because I would have definitely loved to play it again. :(
I guess I will just have to play wimberley next year 8)

Mike..

The Wimberely courses are good in my opinion, but San Saba makes them look very average. The only thing Wimberely has over SS is less thorns and cactus, but I bet SS was getting played and worked on so much, there wasn't much of that around anymore.

Hah!

It's funny that you say that because tonight I just dug a half inch long thorn out of my calf that I had thought I got out when I was in Texas.

Can you say ouch?
I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.
