topeka disc golf
There was a tournament this weekend at the tecumseh course. It was not well advertised and so not well attended, But it was a great time. Those folks out there really know how to run an event. There is a kdga event coming up out there and I recomend making the trip. They have a kitchen and make lunch items for a small price.
Saturday all entrants got a bottle of water and a plastic travel coffee cup with the course logo. There was a raffle at the end where everyone got a prize. George foreman grills, coffee makers, Martini Sets... lots of cool stuff. They also had a skill challenge where they had made a plastic leprachaun holding a disc. Everyone got three shots to knock the disc out of his hand. The winner got a pot of gold, Jar of quarters but hey it was included in the entry.
If it is not on the callender yet you should all try to make it out for this event. The course is like nothing you have played before, You will need every shot in the bag to score well.

Tonight will be the kick off of the Rice road skins game. Every tuesday night entry will be 1.00 and you play skins within your group. At the end of the season everyone who made 17 apperances at the skins game is invited to play in super saturday, This will be a large skins game played for all of the entry fee's over the year.
Tomorrow will be the first night of the crestview league. Entry will be 5.00 and I think that we will be playing random doubles this week. There will be a club meeting following league and I am going to volunteer as the league director for this season. I want to have some friday night mini's this year and perhaps some glow leagues. New Course
I'm new to Topeka, but I did notice that Faircrest I think, has some park space. It's kinda a Rec Center so maybe they would have some input.
