Yea Jon, I believe the guy has it if he hasn't sold it already, I'll go check it out.

I remember because it confused me I thought it was a discraft disc because it had absolutely no stamp on it. I'll update you on it.

Mr. Dyck, I've known the owner of Gateway and competed against him several times over the years. For me the process of sponsorship started and ended with one phone call. Although there were about 15 years of disc golf that led up to that phone call. To gain sponsorship by any disc manufacturer, it helps to know people in the organization whether it be an employee or team member. Tournament performance is important, but is not always the determining factor.

Benefits include paid entry fees to tournaments, free discs, clothing, and accessories, plus a bonus is available for top finishes in A and B tier tournaments.

I'm perfectly happy with my sponsorship. I get enough discs to throw, plus a few more to sell. And I can say I'm on the team, which makes me feel cool in front of the ladies. That alone is worth getting sponsored.

Master Dyck, I am sponsored by the MDDD. They are a very exclusive disc golf organization that has only sponsored, well, one disc golfer. That's me. The MDDD (Mamma, Daughter, Daughter, Daughter) allows me to pay for my own discs, equipment and entry fees, but also lets me go to them in the first place without any complaints. And they let me keep what I win to throw or sell on E-bay, with all the money going back into the sport. They have supported me now in this endevor for almost two years (even though I have played much longer) and are very proud of my accomplishments (whatever they may be). The only drawback is that I can't go to all the tourneys, but perhaps in the future, I would be able to attend more than fifteen.

Oh yea, my sponsorship would be revoked if I have anything at all to do with the ladies!

Don, sounds to me like you've got some great sponsors. Not everyone can handle that level of sponsorship.
