topeka weekend

Post by superq »

May 7th and 8th...

I know it is a ways to fo still but this will be a weekend to remember.

The Saturday at Tecumseh will be sweet. The course is like no other The folks that own it are super cool and they are going to allow camping on their property. So now you have no excuse not to come to T-town and hit both tournies.

I will be posting the directions and entry fee's in the next few days.

I could work around mother's day for my mom. She might actually like to come. The trouble is all of us who have children. The moms of our children probably want to not watch the kids most of the day. Bad idea to go play golf.

Saturday, however, is a whole nother matter. What kind of course is Tecumsah. Worth playing?

I like the course it is still a little raw. We are going to be doing a lot of costmetic changes this month to tighten the fairways and make the undergrowth a little thinner. I think it is one of the fairest courses I have ever played. There is no advantage for the big arm or the technician. You will need all of the basic and a few advanced shots to score well. There will be 18 holes and no two will be alike. The tee's are natural but the teeing area's are mostly level and soft.

I think it will be worth making plus there will be camping for those interested and perhaps some glow golf too. 8)
