Apollos were Whammo molds if I'm not mistaken...and 44 molds etc. were also older Whammp molds.

Ching, the maker of Skillshot (Before money hungry Innova bought that) used to mold discs as well. The Stinger was one of them. (As well as Sniper, Tank and the Bomb.)

Chris is right, the Apollo and 44 molds are Whammos. The 44 is an old mold (from back in the 80s) which I don't think are made any more. I don't think that Whammo even makes the 86 softie (my first putter) any more. Heck, do they still make the "Super ball"????

The Apollo and the Voyager were introduced in the late 1990s. Whammo was trying to get some of the disc golf market.

Ching made the Stinger just a few years ago. Again, they aren't being made any more.

Like all discs, they are all good for something for someone. The problem is that if you learn to love them and loose them, you can never replace them.

Isnt the ol' spitfire around still today just called something else like the F-1 or D-2??? The Spitfire must have been the shizzle in those days. I remember lightning claiming that the spitfire was unbreakable..........wonder if there was any truth to that???
