I can't say for sure, but I would guess that each round is rated independently for each pool.

With player ratings, the difficulty of the course played doesn't really matter, just how well the group does as a whole and the cumulative ratings of the players playing. Then this is compared with your individual performance.

I am not sure that the top finishers even played the same courses?

Bob 1st place may have played course A,B,C,G
Fred 2nd place may have played D, E, F, G

They are gonna be screwed up for a while. There was all kinds of swapping from pool to pool. My last round should be close to if not a 1000 rated round instead of a 960. I believe I had the hot round @ White Park that round.

this post started from a question from Brendan who thought his first round should have been higher rated

Yeah, it should've been. There are different scores from different courses put in the same round.

I've seen it before when their program rates the entire first round together regaurdless of different courses.

I'm sure they will fix it.

Tried to check mine and it's not updated yet :(

Curious to see if/how much I gained after Emporia last weekend...

Emporia will not be on this update for sure. the cut off for TD's to get their results in was 10 days ago.

I kind of wandered about that, but was going for the benefit of the doubt...

Mine says as of Dec. 19th.

I also haven't played any events yet this year. So I don't know if my rating is updated yet or not.

Ratings

Mine only went up 6 points to 968, but they didn't drop last years memorial where i averaged around a sad 920. My next update should be huge as long as I average over 990 till the next rating update at the end of june. Hoping for at least a 15 point jump next time to 983+. We'll just have to wait and see.
