Lawrence courses?

That course has been renumbered at least twice that I know of, so I'm not sure what hole is now number 15.

The old layout was with the skateboard park hole as hole 1. There are 5 holes out there that are close enough to parking to be called hole 1 and I'm sure at least 3 of them have been at one point. I don't know why the holes near Bucky's should be hole 1 when there is parking for the park on the other side. They should have left old hole 1 as hole 1! And yes that is a kick butt hole. I loved the 4 other downhill bombs through the trees as well. This course reminds me of Waterworks Park a bit.

There's been 3 numbering systems over my 9 years... Oldest hole #1 was over by Bucky's...but the city/P&R wanted us to congregate somewhere else, 'away' from the newly renovated and enlarged (and frequently reserved) 'public' shelter - cuz you know how us DGers can monopolize an area. Older #1 was the hole you all just mentioned adjacent to the skate-park...but it was moved one more time to the present one at the South end of the Westside Polaris Missile lot. So now...we are w/o food & shelter...ba-da bum!

#s 3 & 7 (the 2 adjacent downhill bombing holes) get my Best-Hole votes - once they were given their long pin positions...

I love Centennial...but I've got 1300-1400 rounds there, and with my usual 2 opportunities to play DG each week I usually choose Olathe (Mon) or Swope (Tue) league nights, & then WyCo (Fri) (cuz I work in KC Tue and Fri). WyCo is a perfect setting...no crowds, no traffic...the place literally feels like it's ours for the evening. That and Kevin Montgomery runs a great league!!

# 7 is definatly one of my favorite holes. It's one of the few holes that even a weenie arm like me can blast for distance!

15 is the original hole one tee's up by buckys down across the little creek and last week when I was there the pin was deep by the second tree line.
