Course Damage

Post by Schoen-hopper »

Who got the most ice? Has anyone been out to their course yet? Anyone lose their favorite tree?

I was thinking that basically the whole state got hammered with ice. Judging from the power outages, Wichita seems to have got the worst of it. Newton and Emporia don't look so good either, though.

Wichita has trees and branches on the ground everywhere. 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch ice accumulation. The courses seem to have survived quite well, so far. Some limbs down near basket 16 at oak. That was about all I saw as far as downed trees in important areas on the course.

That would be to bad if it knocked over the first pine on hole 17(yellow course). I would probably cry all day long. :D

Looks like Crestview lost a bunch of casual golfers, and one homeless man that lived by hole #10.
