As of April 13, 2006 there will be a new disc golf course in the state of Kansas. Ashland High School, in Ashland, KS is the home of the Ashland Blue Jays and is the newest course in the state. It is a 12 basket course with 6 more on the way, hopefully by the end of the summer. If anyone is in the Ashland area and wants to play, there will be maps to the course at the High School office or at Sam's Pizza Barn. Sam's is located just East of the High School grounds across from the convenient store.
Ashland is located on Highway 160, 50 miles south of Dodge City, 1.5 hours SW of Pratt, 2hrs. 15 min. SW of Hutch and approximately 2.5 hours straight west of Winfield.
I will probably need help in submitting this course on the KDGA and PDGA web sites. If anyone is willing to help me, just send a message with all the information that I need to submit and I will gladly do that ASAP. I don't have all the distances yet but to give you an idea of scale Hole 1 is 385', 7 is 485' and 8 is 300'. My best score without baskets is 2 down.
Also, I will be having a ribbon cutting ceremony and an "Kick Off" round sometime in the near future so if anyone would be interested in attending that, it would be great to have other KS disc golfers support a new course.

As far as submitting course info, on the PDGA, it is very simple. Go to course directory, and “Add a New Course”.
Not sure how to do that on the KDGA site, but Kyle would know.
Let me know when you are going to have the ribbon cutting and I will try to make it!
