Abilene lets make this a team event.
Abilene lets make this a team event.
What do you say?
Each team needs 3 Open/Masters players. You must have atleast 1 master.
Each team needs 3 Am players.
Each team needs 1 Women/Jr.
Each team would pay and additional $35.00 to the entry fee, $5.00/person.
We could score it 2 ways. Total strokes or reverse order of place (if you had 10 players, first would get 10 points)
Winfield would have a team.
What do you think?

Total strokes or reverse order of place. What is reverse order of place?
I think it sounds like a good idea too. Bill Paulson has been wanting to throw together an event similar to this. Might consider tweaking it a bit to make it interesting. Is 7 players per team too many? Could you take best scores from Open, Am, Novice/Women/Junior on each team? That way you could get in with only 3 players, but more would increase your chances of winning. Other ideas?

I think by reverse he means this.
example:
Open Division
1st Place: Winfield Open Player - 10 points
2nd Place: Wichita Open Player - 8 points
3rd Place: Emporia Open Player - 6 points
Advanced Division
1st Place: Winfield Advanced Player - 10 points
2nd Place: Emporia Advanced Player - 8 points
3rd Place: Wichita Advanced Player - 6 points
Total
Winfield: 20 Points
Emporia: 12 Points
Wichita: 12 Points
Something like that
example:
Open Division
1st Place: Winfield Open Player - 10 points
2nd Place: Wichita Open Player - 8 points
3rd Place: Emporia Open Player - 6 points
Advanced Division
1st Place: Winfield Advanced Player - 10 points
2nd Place: Emporia Advanced Player - 8 points
3rd Place: Wichita Advanced Player - 6 points
Total
Winfield: 20 Points
Emporia: 12 Points
Wichita: 12 Points
Something like that
Reverse order:
Would be if there were 10 open players. The first place finisher would get 10, second would get 9, and so on.
I like the total score idea better.
Mike your idea of dropping the worst score is good. The only problem is the more non-counting players you have on a team, the fewer teams you will be able to have.
Maybe just say that each team must have 1 Open, 1 Master, 1 Am, and 1 women/Jr.
I don't know? Let's keep the idea rolling, this could be fun.
How about the winning team gets to host the final event of the year next season?????
