Pheasant capital of the world!

Post by _dm4 »

Well, I did manage to kill some birds on Saturday. The hunting is good! If anyone would like to hunt, just let me know and I can set something up.

IF you want pheasent, then come to england. On any given day i can drive down a normal road, which is a standard country road and there are dozens of pheasants taht just sit in the grass or on the side of the road. I am always commenting on how folks back home would go nuts if they could see these birds just walking around knowing that they are not going to get shot.

Actually, I think they do! We saw this one pheasant run into a bush when we were in the pickup coming back from this barn. The driver slams on the brakes and about six guys jump off the back. The rooster flys out and everyone starts shooting. Everyone misses!!! I think that bird went back to the group with bragging rights!

Bad shots? Not the guys I hang around with. I didn't have a shot cause I never get in or on the truck with a shell in the gun, but it wouldn't have mattered! That thing was shot proof!
