It's an option! We put 18 fairly high, and it will be right in the Hyzer route of #1, if it is short! That's kind of funny.

I might put it behind the tree to the right.

If you did not know, I have two E-bay ID's. One is dm4 (go figure). The other is for a Pawn Shop that I sell stuff for. The pawn shop one got high jacked on Tuesday. Some dude put a $7,000.00 opening bid for a motorcycle up for auction! He was trying to sell it, get his money, and then be out of there when the buyer came looking for the bike. E-Bay was on the ball! They took it off, froze my account, and waited to hear from me. They linked me to live chat, and even called me to make sure I was a person! After confirming my info, they allowed me to get back into their system and change my passwords.

This really freaked me out, but was not that bad in the end. They said somehow the guy got my password, but they don't know how. They told me not to answer any e-mail from Ebay having to do with updating my account, but I had not done that.

E-Bayer's be ware!!!!!!

I am going to a Camp (Lake View) near Stockton tomorrow and setting up a small 9 hole course around the camp. I have not seen the camp much, just a few work days and picking up one of my kids, but it looks like it could be fun. A Church from Hill City bought the baskets from New Age Industries in Norton, which will mean they will be the same as Nortons (sucks!), but at least it's another course. They will be introducing new comers to the sport of disc golf!!!!! :D

We laid out a nine hole course. All the holes are between 150' and 225'. It is very easy, but uses some trees, elevation, and natural boundries. The guy that "helped" me had only played a couple of times. He brought his 8 year old son and a HS kid. They all shot 4's and 5's or more on every hole. I think if the camp uses putters and mids, they won't have to wory too much about broken windows and hit kids. We kept well away from all buildings, accept on the last two holes.

We will see if the camp director likes the course or not. There would have been some sweet holes back in some trees, but there were several trash piles that need to be moved first.

All they have to do is put in the baskets and I told them I would come help! :D

Well, the highly improbable has happened. 14 alternate pin placements have suddenly appeared. It must have been during business hours yesterday! Some of them are not what I wanted (10 was supposed to be back in the trees on the left, but they did it even with the tree line, yawn!). 12 looks sweet and I can't wait to move it and play it. 3 will be a tough hole for anyone because it is even with 4's tee! No one is gonna like 17! It is 5 feet from ob in two directions (street and rodeo).

Here is the big question...

Will the poles be the correct length for the new alt's? If not, I will have to take my pipe cutter and shorten them. They will still be the same height when they are in the ground, just not as much going under the ground! Some of those puppies are l-o-n-g!!!!

See ya all in Beloit!!!!

Well, we cut most of the basket poles 5 1/2 inches shorter today so they would fit. The bolts hold them at their normal height on the originals. Basket #2 had steel in the middle of the pole cause they had some problems years ago with kids tearing it down. It still cut though! We had problems with hole 4 and hole 13, long stories on both. If we don't get them fixed we might have to use some different baskets for the tourney. There will be no alts on holes #1, #17, and maybe #8 (it's just not in yet and may not be soon enough.

It was a real blast playing a round in Norton and shootin even!!!!! 8) Hope to do beter next time!

Don is the course Scooba friendly? I have my gear, and I am looking for water.

I moved 4 pins the other day, some of the better ones. 5, 9, 12, and 18. Makes the course play 3 or for throws more difficult. Still, 8 or 9 down would be doable. Maybe 10 or 11 down if someone else visits Norton!

I have thrown a Scooba or Downtown type roller on 18 twice! Both went right up the hill. The second one yesterday went past the regular pin about 12 feet and stopped, close to the road! Thanks for the idear!

Someone trashed basket 7 the other day. It is now fixed. One good thing about our baskets, they are easy to break, but easy to fix. One good thing the city does...

Did I mention they are going to pave fairway 17, and they didn't even bother to ask anyone that plays disc golf? Guess it will be moved across the street! Almost better anyways.

Well, I guess the locals don't like the alt. pins very well. Yesterday we were playing and got to hole 12. It was moved back to it's original placement! We love alt. pin 12! Makes it a tough bird for sure. Next they will probably move 18, which is another favorite. By the way, 18 has become an easy par hole, and so far, nobody has birdied it! The prefered route right now is through the "V" in the beg cottonwood tree. Roller does not get there, but is a good shot for a 3. My high drive dies out too fast and so will wait for some longer bombing people to come duece the whole, or one of my upshots!

Will consider organizing again, but know that it won't do any good. The locals only want to play by themselves. They don't want league. Still, never hurts to try. You never know who has moved in to town. We will see!

The locals really hate that one! We just play 15 regular. But it would be fun to switch. Probably in the spring.
